Dear Ridgeview High Parents and Community Members,

I want to personally extend to you a very warm welcome to Ridgeview High School. The high school years are an exciting time when young men and women embark upon new adventures in the world of learning.  As a former teacher, I value lifelong learning and aim to make your student’s learning experiences at RHS engaging and exciting.

At Ridgeview, we strive to provide a high-quality program that supports the academic, social and emotional growth of its students. Our commitment is to ensure your student receives the best education to prepare them for the rigors beyond high school while exploring the skills necessary to fulfill their future endeavors. We are proud to offer a challenging educational program, a stellar visual and performing arts program, an athletic program with a tradition of success, and a host of club opportunities that offers something for everyone.

We have a kind, caring, highly-qualified staff who recognizes the role they play in helping your student reach his or her full potential.  We truly believe all students can be successful and this belief drives the work they do on a daily basis in the classroom.  Parent involvement is also vital to your student’s success, and we ask that you continue to play an active role in their education.

I am honored to serve as principal of Ridgeview High School. It is truly a privilege to be part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth. Together as a school community, we will build on the traditions of the past and meet the challenges of the future in innovative and exciting ways. Go Panthers!

Dear Parents and Community Members,

It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as an Assistant Principal of Ridgeview High School! I am incredibly honored to work alongside Mrs. Murphy and an amazing team to lead the instructional efforts at RHS. We are extremely fortunate to serve such a supportive community of dedicated teachers, involved parents, and diverse learners.

I am a former teacher with over 17 years of experience in the classroom.  I joined  Clay County Schools, in 2018, as a Civics teacher at Lakeside Junior High School. During my tenure at Lakeside, I introduced and led the Civics professional learning community (PLC) through the process of implementing student data chats and building student ownership. In addition to guiding students to academic achievement in class, I was also part of the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) team. In this capacity, I played an integral role in analyzing school behaviors and identifying school-wide strategies for rewarding students for positive behaviors.

Prior to my tenure in Clay County, I spent 14 years in Duval County in various instructional capacities including, Civics, World History, Mathematics and Exceptional Student Education (ESE) inclusion and resource teacher. I also served as a middle school social studies specialist for Duval County Schools, where I planned and led district-wide professional development focused on data-driven instruction for Civics, Law Studies, World History, and US History teachers.

My passion and belief that all children deserve access to an equitable educational experience and all teachers deserve to feel valued and heard drives my desire to be a leader in Clay County. I look forward to working, learning, and growing with each and everyone of you. Go Panthers!
